Developmental Editing
Rate: $0.035/word
Developmental editing focuses on the big-picture elements of your story, helping you refine and strengthen its overall structure, plot, characters, pacing, and narrative flow.
You recieve:
- An editorial letter outlining strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations.
- Structural analysis: plot, pacing, worldbuilding, character arcs, theme, genre execution.
- Chapter-by-chapter notes and in-manuscript comments for clarity.
- Email communication to discuss feedback.

Stylistic/Line Editing
Rate: $0.03/word
Stylistic or line editing focuses on refining the prose and language of your manuscript.
This stage of editing reviews your manuscript at the sentence level and considers word choice, syntax, and overall writing style.
You recieve:
- Full manuscript markup using tracked changes.
- Line-level edits for style, rhythm, repetition, clarity, and flow.
- Margin comments explaining choices and suggesting options.
- Email communication to discuss feedback.

Copyediting
Rate: $0.025/word
Copyediting focuses on the mechanics of grammar, punctuation, spelling, usage, and style.
You recieve:
- Grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage corrections.
- Consistency review (character names, timelines, formatting, etc.).
- Light formatting cleanup (e.g. extra spaces, quote marks, style guide alignment).
- Style sheet.
- Email communication to discuss feedback.

Step One: Inquiry & Sample
Fill out the inquiry form with details about your manuscript and the type of edit you’re looking for. If you’re booking a line or copy edit, I’ll provide a sample edit so you can see how I work.
Step Two: Proposal & Booking
You’ll receive a project quote, timeline, and contract. Once you’re ready to move forward, a deposit secures your spot in my calendar.
Step Three: Editing & Delivery
You send your manuscript. I complete the edit and deliver your materials, along with a summary and optional follow-up to walk through any questions.
